Favorite Passtime

Now normally, children ride IN the stroller.......Not my child! He INSISTS that he has to "push" it. He will cry his little eye's out until he gets to push it and then he is all smiles. I don't mind it, but I am not the one carrying him, with a hunched over back to let him do this, my poor husband is. This is the "normal" now when we take the stroller to the mall or where ever. At home, we have a cheap umbrella stroller (was free with $75.00 purchase at Toys'r'us) Well, he spotted this one day and now he LOVES to push this stroller around the house! This is a FULL SIZE umbrella stroller than he has learned to maneuver threw the different rooms and doorways. He's actually pretty good at it! Here he is enjoying a stroll through our house.......

Now if you notice, my husband is walking behind him holding onto "straps". Well these are called "Walking Wings". It goes around his chest and under his arms and you hold onto the straps. This way, if he falls you can hold him up before he hits the ground (avoids lots of tears!) They also save your back so you don't have to be constantly bent over holding onto to him. Now he walks very good on his own but pushing a stroller around, well, he's not stable enough yet. He's not even 14 months old!!!

Ok, so for Easter, his grandparents got him his very own stroller that is more his size! He pushes this thing EVERYWHERE! Here he is on Easter Day enjoying another stroll.....

Happy Friday Everyone!!!!!

Just pray that he is healthy.........

When I was pregnant, this was something that everyone would say to me. I never really "thought" about it that much. Not that I DIDN'T want him to be healthy, just that, well, I guess I always took for granted that he would be. Thoughts of him having any type of health problems never really crossed my mind. (He's ok, don't think something is wrong)

Had I known what I know now, I probably would have a very different mindset. What I mean by that is I have been reading quite a bit lately (thru different blogs) of children with very serious health issues. These parents, like myself, never expected anything to be wrong with their child. Well some may have known (prior to them being born) but never expected the whirlwind their lives were about to spin into.

Reading everyone's stories has made me realize just how meaningful the words "Just pray that he is healthy" really mean. I can only imagine what some of these parents would do just to have what I have.......a normal, healthy child. I no longer take it for granted and should I ever have another child, these words will ring in my thoughts each and every day.

I think about these families sooooooooo much and what they are or have gone thru and my heart goes out to them. I check their blogs daily to "see how they are doing". I say a prayer for all of them every week in church.

I thank God everyday for giving me a healthy child and not a day goes by that I don't hug him, squeeze him, kiss him and tell him how much I love him. When he gets alittle older I can just hear him now......."I know I know Mom, you love me!" Not a day will go by that that child will ever doubt that he is loved. He is and always will be my baby!

As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that wasn't supposed to ever let you down probably will.
You will have your heart broken probably more than once and it's harder
every time.
You'll break hearts too, so remember how it felt when yours
was broken.
You'll fight with your best friend.
You'll blame a new love for things an old one did.
You'll cry because time is passing too fast, and you'll eventually lose someone you love.
So take too many pictures, laugh too much, and love like you've never been hurt because every sixty seconds you spend upset is a minute of happiness you'll never get back.
Don't be afraid that your life will end, be afraid that it will never begin.

Easter

With Easter just around the corner, I found this very interesting........I bet most of us never really paid attention to god's little hint's!

Now I know there are more important things in life besides "American Idol" but for me, till May, there is not! I am a devoted watcher now for all 6 seasons BUT I am pretty disappointed with it this year. First, I really don't think there are any "fantastic" singers on it this year but, I do like a few. Now with that said, Sanjaya is NOT among them. This boy has got to go!! This is a singing competition and anyone with ears can tell he cannot sing. At this point, it's more of a popularity contest which is not really fair to the people that can actually sing. The network really needs to come up with a different way of voting that only allows so many calls per phone line. Now there are probably over a hundred thousand little girls out there screaming "NO NO SANJAYA IS SO CUTE" but cuteness does not = talent

Now I also love "Dancing with the Stars" but this show seems to be geared more towards "grown-ups". I don't really see to many speed dialing to vote for these people just because they are "cute". Besides I don't think there are to many kids watching this show.

I like the reality shows, now I know some parts are staged even tho they are suppose to be reality but nonetheless, I still like them.

One show I really liked (but it's over now) was "Grease - You’re the one that I want"…..boy could these people sing! Now to me, they were actual singers! I hope they come out with more shows like this.

I wish I could sing like some of these people but I guess that was not my calling however, if I could sing, I would want to have a voice like Martina McBride. To me, I have never heard such a flawless voice………..she can sing!

Maybe in my next life………….

Favorite Picture

Of all the pictures I have, this is one of my favorite. How I sometimes wish I could go back to the day he was born and enjoy it so much more. My delivery was alittle complicated especially right after he was born. I didn't get to hold him as soon as he was born because I started to hemmorhage. Once they got settled down with me I was so weak and out of it I didn't get to really really enjoy those momments. I ended up having severe anemia. I couldn't believe how weak I was, I could not even lift my precious little newborn baby. In the end everything worked out but I still think about it and wish things had happened so differently.

Now after one year, one month and 2 days later, there is still nothing more in the world that I love more than that precious little face!
