What happens in Heaven

I dreamt that I went to Heaven and an angel was showing me around. We walked side-by-side inside a large workroom filled with angels.

My angel guide stopped in front of the first section and said, "This Is the Receiving Section. Here, all petitions to God said in prayer are Received."

I looked around in this area, and it was terribly busy with so many angels sorting out petitions written on voluminous paper sheets and scraps from people all over the world.

Then we moved on down a long corridor until we reached the second section.

The angel then said to me, "This is the Packaging and Delivery Section. Here, the graces and blessings the people asked for are processed and delivered to the living persons who asked for them."

I noticed again how busy it was there. There were many angels working hard at that station, since so many blessings had been requested and were being packaged for delivery to Earth.

Finally at the farthest end of the long corridor we stopped at the Door of a very small station To my great surprise, only one angel was Seated there, idly doing nothing.

"This is the Aknowledgment Section," My angel friend quietly admitted to me. He seemed embarrassed "How Is it that there is no work going on here?" I asked.

"So sad," the angel sighed. "After people receive the blessings that they asked For, very few send back acknowledgments ."

"How does one acknowledge God's blessings?" I asked.

"Simple," the angel answered. Just say, "Thank you, Lord."

"What blessings should they acknowledge?" I asked.

"If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof overhead and a place to sleep you are richer than 75% of this world. If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a dish, you are among the top 8% of the world's wealthy ."

"And if you get this on your own computer, you are part of the 1% in the world who has that opportunity."

Also ......

" If you woke up this morning with more health than illness ... You are more blessed than the many who will not even survive this day ."

"If you have never experienced the fear in battle, the loneliness of imprisonment, the agony of torture, or the pangs of starvation .. You are ahead of 700 million people in the world."

"If you can attend a church without the fear of harassment, arrest, torture or death you are envied by, and more blessed than, three billion people in the world .

"If your parents are still alive and still married ...you are very rare ."

"If you can hold your head up and smile, you are not the norm, you're unique to all those in doubt and despair."

Ok, what now? How can I start?

If you can read this message, you just received a double blessing in that someone was thinking of you as very special and you are more blessed than over two billion people in the world who cannot read at all, Have a good day and count your blessings

ATTN:

Acknowledge Dept.: "Thank you Lord, for giving me the ability to share this message and for giving me so many wonderful people to share it with."

Just a bad day.......

Normally I am a pretty passive person......for the most part.

BUT there are certain things that just get under my skin at certain times :-) that just bother the heck out of me!

The other day we went to McDonalds drive thru........placed our order and drove to the pickup window. The girl hands us the order and as we are driving away, I always frantically look thru the bag real quick to make sure we got everything we ordered.

Me: Geeeeeeeez they didn't give us an order of fries! THERES ONLY ONE IN THE BAG - PULL OVER!

Hubby: Geeeeeeez

I get out of the car and march in Micky D's.........there is a guy standing waiting for his order and I look at him rolling my eyes.

I get to the counter and here is how the conversation goes.......

Girl: Can I help you?

Me: Yea (tossing the bag on the counter) We just came thru the drive thru and only got one order of fries and we ordered two!

Girl: (Grabs the bag and looks in it) Sorry (rather snotty)

Me: Geez how difficult is it to read a ticket and fill an order???

Girl: Sorry (snotty again) We were alittle busy

Me: Well it doesn't take a rocket scientist to fill an order

Girl: (Kinda tosses the bag back on the counter - With my order of fries in it)

Me: (Grabs the bag (snottily) and walks out)

Ok so it was just a teenager trying to earn her $5.00/hr BUT STILL - You have to have SOME pride in what you do, don't ya?

Maybe I won't go back to McDonalds anymore, I'll see how many rocket scientist work at BURGER KING!

Fallen Solider

One week ago today, a solider from the town I live in was killed in Afganistan. He was 26 yrs old, was engaged to be married and had an 8 yr old son. I found out a few days later that he was one of my neighbors best friends and the guy was in his wedding alittle over a year ago. He was obviously broken up about what had just happened when he was telling us the story. The guys finacee was over my neighbors house the night after it had happened. Well I guess I should say the guys name was "Jan" rather than keep calling him the "guy".

He had volunteered to go over........he had only 2 months left and he would be home for good. I don't know the whole story other than he died while saving one of his friends. There had been a road side ambush of some type and Jan had gotten out of the vehicle and laid down over one of his friends to protect him.........that is the place he died. His friend lived........

They brought his body back home on Friday and I have never experienced such a thing in my life. There were hundreds of bikers, state police, firetrucks, etcc... that escorted the hearse. When they arrived in town, people cried as the hearse drove by while others saluted. It brings chills as I think about it.........

The viewing was held at a local church because they expected so many people. It was Friday night........ we drove by the church and I was amazed at the amount of people. They were lined up inside the church in zigzag lines......out the doors, down the side walk, thru the packing lot and down the street. The local newspapers said people stood in line for 2-3 hrs to pay their respects.

Saturday was the buriel........the procession was over a mile long. At the top of the street of the route they were traveling, they had 2 firetrucks with both ladders raised and were touching. They hung an American Flag in the middle...........

All of the on ramps to the highway were shut down as they escorted the body to the final resting place. When they arrived, they took the flag that was covering the casket and gave it to his son.

I hear of people dying in war all the time but have never experienced it so close to home. My heart goes out to his family. He was a true hero......
