The Big Birthday

My baby turned the Big 2 yrs old! What a nice day we had. We made a big fuss over him all day (which we do anyways) It's almost like he knew that it was "his" day. Not that he really understood what a "birthday" was but he knew it was something. He walked around all day saying "Happy Birthday to Baby Paul" LOL It was cute. I did it. I made the "Thomas" cake. It didn't quite come out like the picture I was trying to duplicate but it was ok. Just thank god that it was only family there cause it couldn't make a "Famous" debut anyplace else!

I wasn't sure what to get him cause god knows he has enough toys already BUT he's 2, and 2 is special. No scratch that, every birthday is special. So anyways, we ended up getting him a Step 2 TrainTable. He LOVES it! I like it cause after he's done playing it has a lid for it and it can be used as a little table. He plays with his cars and trains on this thing constantly. And because I took the coffee table out of my living room so he wouldn't get hurt, this adds a nice decor to my living room again.

The time came to sing the Birthday song and I didn't get any pictures of him standing at his cake (using the new coffeetable as a table) cause I was to busy video taping it and holding back the tears. What a feeling I had watching him. My eyes filled with tears. I'm a sap LOL Anyways, he's really not big on cake so he got to have the next best thing to it

Yes he got the entire gallon to dive into! Cause it was HIS birthday. And he was 2 and 2 is special. Thank god he didn't eat the entire gallon just a few spoonfuls and he was happy.

Another year has passed :-( I miss my "baby" but I'm enjoying this stage so much. I love that he talks with me (the best he can) and he still loves to cuddle. And cuddling is important because he won't be little forever.
